You can pay me and I'll pick it up ;-)
In point of fact think of it this way. A sale is commensurate when a willing buyer and a willing seller assent to to the sale.
When you think about it, what is being sold is immaterial. Same thing with the price...
Control the Kelly Blue book Specs and see what you have...adjust accordingly.

what is the crash survivability of a buell firebolt?
i am shopping for a new bike. i have a jap bike that i downed a year ago and it was pliant to repair. it was just a minor low side. scuffed and such. i like the buells. i have ridden one. but i cant seem to find any info or pictures online about how the composition and swing arm handle crashes. with the gas and the oil inside the frame and swing arm, my pertain is after a typical low side how does the frame and swing arm hold up? i dont haunt it out like some guys do but i have been know to dump my bike and have it slide a connect of feet. my suzuki handled it fine. minus a couple of scuffs and dings and negligible replacement of parts. any help would be appreciated! thanks!

i subscribe to all the bike mags and one of them have a sustained test segment on a buell, and it says nut and bolts brake, but what do you expect its a harley outcome, in the japanese culture everything has to be the best quality, you said it your self your jap bike was even to fix stick with what works, it will be running long after the buell is dead and buried, not onlu that they are the coolest looking bikes on the planet, you'll never see a buell on the podium communicate race time,

I'm leaning toward getting a buell firebolt vs honda cbr, I need a more knowlegable opinion.?
I hark to buell have some maintenance issues and may even lack a little on the power side. Does this have exact proof or just opinion?

This is a foul place to get anything BUT opinion.
They should both handle comparably... the engine designs are stock different however
the buell engine is based off of a harley sportster 1200 (which also says there are no upkeep or reliability issues, that design is pretty bullet proof) the honda is an inline 4
a vtwin (buell) makes lots of low-mid rpm power
an inline (honda) makes lots of mid-loaded rpm power
so really, how do you intend to ride? if you're all about screaming down a road and riding like an ass at considerable open throttle, you go honda
if you want good punch off the heritage and have no need for 150+mph, you go buell

Is a buell firebolt a good beginner bike to start learning?

I'll be hint blank with you on this one, it's not a rookie bike, by no means. Any one who tells you other erudite is either a fool, looking for one, or hasn't ever rode one at all or any more than a straight straight. It's a totally different monster.
Earlier years were not as pushy as they are now, buy this I mean, the steering angle is steep. Look at the angle vs. other bikes, what Buell has is a racing aspect, with in a few 1/10th of race bikes. The bike handles great, takes a curve or corner like no other bike, BUT if you're not current fast enough when you take a corner, it will dive in. If it dives in, what's your first reaction? Uninteresting down, put your feet down, and ooops! You have to give it more gas to pull it back up and out. Little imperfections in the road you'll withstand, road snakes will let you know a bit too.
If you want to get a Buell, start off with a Blast, or some passage bike, but not a sport bike. Learn first then play, trust me, learn from a reach-me-down or cheaper bike, you will lay it down, whether on the road, with help, or just in the drive, it will encounter. It's easier to get over it on a trainer bike than your baby.

Go to the Harley website. www.harleydavidson.com. Once there, click on the U.S. (a map will be included), then click on motorcycles, 2007 or 2008 and follow the links to the bike that you are looking for. Once there, click on the specs and pricing unite, and it will tell you each cost and all you have to do is add them up to find out what your bike will cost. Then go to the dealers link, back on the first call out, and from there, all you have to do is type in your zip code, and it will take you to the dealerships located in your area of New York.
