696 Termi Exhaust Gas Smell
Hey, I lawful had the dealer install a termi exhaust on my 696. The bike runs wonderful 99% of the time, but I have a couple of issues:
- I smell gas through the screen port on the gas tank cover on the right side of the bike
- Very very sporadically, in second gear just after I shift into it, the bike hesitates for a nano-back and then all is fine (also makes a slight noise)
Anyone else have these issues?

Newbie, are u indeed new? I mean how much riding experience do you have? If you have none, this bike is fairly close to sharp prefromance, enough so you may well drop this beautiful machine a few times learning. Scxxr that! In a junker for at least a month or two, borrow a dirt bike etc. At least know how to change position, turn, take of and be able to read the traffic around you then go plop down the 8.8K ( get the red!) I about Ducati makes the prettiest motorcycle today, period. I commend your choosing. If my knees were any good I get one too. Enjoy.....Ducati has a cool leather specialization too. Buy a helmet.

Unless you are fairly well off, meaning you have a fat wallet, I would get a Honda or such for my first bike. Reason is that you are almost certain to discard it once, and it will cost enough to fix a Honda let alone a Ducati. Also the maintenance on Ducati is not for the small of wallet. | |

Excite gage is not common on many motorcycles. You need to reset the trip odometer and refill at a definite mileage interval. If you have a low fuel warning light, then I would suggest you fill up. Reset falter trap odometer to zero. Ride the bike until the warning light comes on, now you have a unwrought estimate of how far you can go between fill-ups. Odds are the fuel light comes on with approx 1 gallon red in the tank, so you have some running room after the fuel light comes on, but not much.

Ducati's from antiquated 2007 onward have half the required service intervals than they reach-me-down to have, look after it and like pretty much any other modern motorcycle it should be fine.
