I've got a 2005 Ducati Monster S2R 800 that won't go into 1st gear without shutting off. Help?
Hey I was precisely given a 2005 Ducati Monster s2r with 3200 ml. It's been parked for 2 years in storage. Getting it rolling seems to be hit or schoolgirl. Starts fine in N but when in 1st the engine dies. I've tried rocking it and warming the appliance in N but when I squeeze the clutch and shift into first gear the engine dies and you find out a whoosh sound like pressure escaping. This is my first bike so i'm baffled at what it could be. Any refrain from would be great.

This is an unusually simple answer, but did you raise the kickstand? They have automatic cutoff switches on them now, so that you can't take off unless the kickstand is up. When you first get on the bike, and try to fire it up, you'd be suprised at how you'll draw a blank about the kickstand. I had this happen on a Yamaha, and I've been riding for 27 years. It happens.

Ducati S2R Monster vs Honda 919?
I conscious the honda should be faster as it boasts around 100 cc's more...however what are the real happy results? which is more comfortable? more fun to ride? more forgiving? etc...

I have a 919, and it's a unrelieved bike. The stock suspension is sub-par, but it has a great engine, handles well, and is fun to swindle.
It's a lot cheaper to service than a Ducati, and it's very reliable so you're not probable to need to do much more than scheduled maintenance.

if there not rather tight there will be no protection. the trousers will slide around if you take a fall.
make certain that when you zip close round the ankles that the trousers either tuck into your boots or the boots fit under them.
