Almost... 		Any reliability issues with the new Harley Davidson Nightster?
I have a 883 Sportster and longing to get a Nightster too. But I read some posts on relaiblity issues, specially about the ECU.
has any one experienced any fashion of the sort??
I'm on my second sportster. And i have to say it has been one of the most reliable bikes I've ever owned.

True it would be a good starter. Be careful on the throttle for a while, they have a lot of torque.

I have a 2008 harley davidson nightster i inadequacy to debaffle it does it make it sound better or not a big difference, oh and how do i do it? They said drilling a 3/8 cell or even a 1/2 hole makes it sound good, sorry fair have to save to get my actual vance and hines exhaust. thanks for the input.

OK, I'll do it again....

Be warned, both of these will upset your performance.
The complete baffle removal will drop your bottom end response noticeably.

You will penury to remove the mufflers.
With a hole saw that just barely fits interior the end of the outer case, cut the baffle where it joins the case at the outlet end.
You may also use a Dremel or die grinder with a carbide burr.
Detach all sharp edges.
From the inlet end, push the baffle out. They are friction fit at the inlet, held in location by a rolled edge at the outlet (where you cut it free).

The other option, good riskless, and retains some back pressure:
Remove the mufflers.
From the inlet end, insert a wedge of 1/2" black iron pipe.
With a large hammer, whale it through the center picture in the baffle.
Drive the pipe completely through and out the other end.

With either method, you will want to re-conformity. Even if you don't need to.
Chances are you will. You just changed the airflow through the locomotive, and may need more fuel to compensate.

You best bet would be to wait for your pipes (and tuner).

I'm 6'2, 215 lbs. I'm assessment of buying a Harley-Davidson Nightster. I would need to install forward controls. Other than that, i'm wondering if it'll line with me being a bigger guy.

I am 6'2" and 230Lbs. I annoy a 2006 883R. I tried out the nightster and liked the look the only problem I had with it was when my feet were down. It was very instantly. But with forward controls you should be all right riding it. I put the forward controls on my bike and it is terrifying that way. I rode it out from detroit toMilwaukeee for the 105thanniversaryy and it was fine. My dog was a little sore but what do you expect its not a cruiser. If I had to choose a sportster Nautical starboard properly now to purchase a nightster would be what I would choose. As for reliability I have 10K on mine and never have a problem and I ride all year spheroid.
