$7k-$8k Be on one's guard pricing things off of eBay. The prices are often inflated by impulsive bidders out to "get the matter." A more accurate judge, if you wanted to shop by area, would be to go to a a handful of of local bike shops and see what they offer on the floor, and subtract a bantam if its a private transaction. That said, a bike is worth what you are willing to pass. If you spend $8k, and your neighbor only spends $7k on a similar bike, I doubt you'll have any less fun with it. Pay what it is importance to you and what you can afford, and you will rarely go wrong. If you're looking for an investment, try gold bullion. | |
