It's the one in the fabric, on the right side of the bike, near the swingarm. Replace the o-ring when you vacillate turn into the oil, and clean any debris off the magnetic tip of the drain plug. If you remove the extraction from the tank, you'll have to bleed the air out of the lines after the oil change. Don't do that. Oust the drain plug using a 6 point socket or an allen twist. Don't over-torque it on re-installation. Factory spec is 14-21 foot pounds. Before you put a new oil riddle on it, pour a few tablespoons of new oil into the filter. Rub a little on the rubber seal on the oil winnow, too, and turn it an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn after the seal has made get in touch with with the mount. | |

If the difficulty was bad gas all you'd have to do is drain the tank and put good gas in. I doubt if you ever had bad gas, I muse over you have other problems. You could have an air intake leak. BTW, do you have a carb or fuel injection? Harleys are infamous for developing air intake leaks, and the fix is not so difficult. Check it by taking a can of carb cleaner, and while the bike is continual at an idle, spray the carb cleaner around the intake ports and carb/encourage injection contections. If you notice a change in idle, you have a let slip. It may be as simple as tightening the intake manifold or changing the rubber gaskets. | |

Anything can find at any mileage on any brand bike, but at 40k, that bike still has loads of miles leftist in it. Being a dresser, you know it hasn't be drag raced and has unquestionably lived a rather sedate life. I bet you have an easy 40-60k left in it.
