my bosom buddy has a 1982 honda magna 750cc and is wanting to turn it into a single carb bike from a 4 carb bike. He says that it will be plain but i think he will have alot of trouble with the proper carb and jets for it. has anyone tried this before. If it works i will do the same for my 1982 yahama adage 750cc
he has found a manifold for a beetle that would work and we looked into it and it would not be too hard to get the lengths de rigueur to the intake but that is made for a 1600cc beetle engine and 2barrel carb.

Part of the riddle is the age of your machines. These bikes are not exactly turning up new mods and demeanour kits.
Honestly, as the other people hinted at you are talking a tremendous amount of vocation to attempt this. An extremely skilled machinist might be able to pinch it off, but he or she would also need a lot of knowledge about the specific engine also.
The kits one person spoke of to switch bikes into single or dual carburetors have probably been off the market for awhile and you would have to reasonable hope for luck of the draw on finding one somewhere in a parts house conclave dust for 25 years.
I don't have much trouble envisioning you spending far more than the bike is even benefit to accomplish this mission. Getting 4 carbs synched at a rat on seems like a much more reasonable endeavor, and how often do you really need that done? I had carb profession done on 2 bikes in my 30 years of riding. Sure beats all the headaches and problems that your conversion sounds like it would be.

Hi all, I've exactly bought myself a Honda Magna 750, 1983, American import. Basically the bike has'nt been adapted to for 10 years. It's been started up regularly but not for sometime. Anyway, i whipped the carbs off to give them a make a revelation out and the floats were stuck solid. I managed to get them out. There was a thick orange "gunk" holding them in. Basically, i would like to recall the best way to clean out these carbs, also, the gear lever is quite fast, is this normal? or is there anyway i can loosen it and any other things that will need doing to the bike to get it tournament properly would be great. I cannot start my Honda 750 Magna. I formerly larboard it for a week. I did use choke, but when i press the choke the engine stops. I tried to aver it for 10 minutes but still no use.

The piolet jets in the carburators are clogged w/bad gas. The carbs will have to be removed and cleaned.

can i take the baffles out of the 4 discharge pipes on my magna with out having any problems and if so do i just drill them out or what

Well it will get fortissimo as hell for one thing, which is probably what you want. I wouldn't apprise it! For on thing it will get loud to the point you WILL get tickets for it. second it will affect your back arm-twisting which could affect your carberation and power. You dont have a harley! Its a Honda... if you deficiency to make it better buy some aftermarket pipes and have a jet kit put in the carbs. That would be way cooler and wont devalue your heckle.
