What is the difference between a Honda Nighthawk 650 '82 and '83?
I am looking to buy a Honda Nighthawk 650 but I need to know if there are any major differences between the 1982 model and the 1983 maquette. I know they changed the engine and boosted the cc's but i dont care if i have a lil less power with the 1982 pattern but i want to know if there are some problems with it which should persuade me to buy an 83 instead?

'82 Honda Nighthawk 650: 627cc SOHC, confinement-driven 5-speed, 9:1 compression ratio, analog gauges, and a curvilinear headlight.
'83 Honda Nighthawk 650: 655cc DOHC, shaft-driven 6-speed, 9.5:1 compression correspondence, digital gauges, and a rectangle headlight.
Since seeing a few Honda Nighthawk 650 engines still event 25 years later, I am convinced that there are no major flaws in its stratagem. So, I tend to think that the deciding factor will come down to whether you're a string guy or prefer shaft.
*/End of Line.

if the bike has a center be, get it up on that. If it doesn't, you'll need to improvise a center countenance, or use jack-stands to hold up the rear swing-arm.
with the back tire off the compass basis, loosen the chain tensioner and alignment screw on the opposite side.
Then you can exterminate the axle, and the wheel comes right off.
Your best bet for changing the weaken itself is to take the whole wheel to a shop. They'll have a machine to seat the new bother correctly. If you want to do it yourself, it's possible, but not easy.
Then reverse the steps above, and be indubitable to align the rear tire properly!!!!!!

What years was the Honda Nighthawk motorcycle manufactured?
I am looking to achieve one and was looking on E-Bay. The ones there are in the 1983 to 1985 year - range. I looked on the Honda website and it claims that the Nighthawk motorcycle is still manufactured today. The ones on E-bay are prevailing for about $1000.00 U.S. to about $2500.00 U. S. A new one goes for around $3500.00 U.S. Do they hold their value well? Are they a satisfactory running bike?
My decision to buy a Nighthawk is due to seat height (30 inches) , motor bigness (250 cc), price, and look that I am after. Thank you for your help.

At that expense you might as well buy a new one. I don't know if you are a man or a woman but you might want to check one out at a dealership before you buy it. I've ridden a Nighthawk and I design it was way too small. I'm 5'7". It would be good for a dinky woman or if you want to just putt around on something.

How does a luggage rack/backrest mount to a 1993 750 Honda Nighthawk?
I am mounting a paraphernalia rack/backrest to my 1993 Honda 750 Nighthawk, it came with no hardware. Do I trouble longer rear shock bolts? Do I have to trim cowling for scaffold to fit properly? How much trimming is required? Does the trimmimg affect semblance in a negative way??

Without seeing the scaffolding and it's mounting hardware all I can help you with is a picture.
I can't see what supports the framework in the back of the seat.
Can you contact the manufacturer of the rack and ask for directions and a hardware kit?

Reorganize
Look in the area of the backrest where it meets the rack.
There should be some kind of mounting holes.
Carry away the seat and look in that area of the bike, especially under the side of the cowl.
I seem to about that part of the cowl had to be trimmed to fit the mounting bracket.
Everyone I've installed looked plant mounted.
Just take your time and go slow.
"You can take off, but you can't put on."
I use that formation when deciding how much to wear in cold weather. I think it works here to.
