I hve jus brought a Honda VFR800 VTech from a distributor and there was no handbook / manual. They have delivered the bike and the battery is dead. I don't understand how to get to the battery as I have no manual. Help please.

The rules doesn't tell you much beyond the typical stuff but without it you won't even grasp how to set the clock for example. You'll want the physical manual sitting in your bike since it contains fundamentals like whether there's a tip-over sensor, don't settle for a PDF. Pop the seat off and take a look: if it's not there you should customer acceptance wanted it. As the new owner you should have been given a freaking owner's manual -- that dealership is treating you inadequately. If they won't give it to you go to Honda and complain about the dealership, and they might send you a manual for free.

The battery is fix next to the place where you pop the seat with the key. There should be a plastic cover that hides the battery from the side of the VFR, select that off by pulling the two plastic knobs that look like screw heads. There is also a basic hold-down mechanism involving a huge rubber band and a hinged metal arm. The battery is physically smaller than most other motorcycle batteries but a comparable claim (12Ah?) so the OEM version costs upwards of $80. I believe it is a gel room, justifying some of that cost. Normal charging requires around 1 amp over a long patch of time, aftermarket batteries allow quick (4 amp) concern but I don't know about the OEM version.

Clymer sells them, but I don't concoct you can view it online.

If you have something specific you need to know, google it and sometimes there is a tackle head with a page about fixing it or such.

Normally these lights are to mark problems with the fuel injection system. I believe normal procedure is to supervise to your nearest dealers at low speed (30 or less) ASAP.
