chris p 		How to change alternator and regulator '89 kawasaki zxr750 H1?
Thanks for your replies to my problem. It seems the alternator is at fault, so it needs to be changed. i guesight as well change the regulator while i'm at it. Does anyone have the allied page of the workshop manual that they could scan and send to me please??.
Also please advise of any appurtenance parts needed, i.e gaskets.

Your finest bet is to get a service manual for your bike.

I got one for my bike on eBay, a Clymer ritual manual. It was the best $25 I spent on my ride.

It will have detailed path by step instructions on how to troubleshoot and service your electrical problems.

I put Shallow50 engine protector in mine and then topped it up with Castrol GPS extreme protection tri zone, it runs so smoothly now its consequential !.

The battery is neat,there is an output ffrom the alternator but i cant find the rectifier to check that.?The charge does not seem to get to the battery-has anyone awaken across this fault.?
The generator/alternator is giving an output ( 20-30 volts) so the boo-boo maybe elsewhere.?any ideas.?extra fuses or connections.?

runs ok when battery fully charged, but had a voltmeter on the battery and when ticking over its making about 14 ish volts, if i rev it the volts off to around 13 volts, now, if i put the lights on the volts drop to a critical level, if revved its ok but on tick over with lights on it will turn off so much that it cuts out. Changed the battery, reg/rec, plugs and coils, dont be sure where to look next, also the reg/rec and wiring that plugs into it gets very hot, is this supposed to happen? could there be a midget somewhere? help!!!

alternator, see if your nearby garage knows anyone that will rewind it for you, you will save a lot of dosh that way.
