What's the best procedure to lower my 1996 Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan Classic?
A:(from bluff mike)
You may be gifted to find a fork lowering kit from these guys:
http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/
Some conventional fork lowering kits consist of a shorter spacer and fork vernal.
You can probably slip your fork tubes up an inch in the triple bracket, but that's not a real custom look.

Lowering blocks for the arse are generally considered unsafe. Go with shorter shocks.

Older Kawasaki Vulcan or a newer Suzuki savage?
A:(from rsarah23)
If they both exertion ok, get the cheaper one. If it's your first bike I bet after a short time you'll lack something different anyway because you'll be getting some experience and figuring out what you do and don't like. You might also do things like dismiss the bike or dent it and stuff like that while you are getting used to it.

I have a 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic that is not charging the battery.?
A:(from aGhost2u)
First present sure your new battery is fully charged. Most new batteries need to be charged before use. The against would be gel cell batteries. Always charge the battery out of the bike, or with the cables off. Use a trickle charger. Warrant the battery is charged and good using a load tester. (Any battery stow away or service station should be able to do this for you.) I have seen many new batteries that are no good. Also completely your cables and make sure all the ground wires are connected.

Once you have verified that you have a paraphernalia battery, put a volt meter on the battery and run the bike. Voltage should kind from battery voltage (12 or 12.5) at an idle to 14.5 at 4,000 rpm. If the voltage drops when you run the bike, you separate that there is no charging output.

If you have a weak charging system, you can check the actual amperage figure if you rig up a special cable to your tester so you can run it inline while running your bike. You would insufficiency an auto type amperage gauge and some cable. If your voltage try out shows only battery voltage, then you can probably skip this.

The next test is the alternator yield. You test this with your tester in AC mode using the three yellow wires coming out of the alternator/stator prospering to the regulator/rectifier. I don't have the manual for your bike, but I think it is a minimum of 50 volts AC while management at 4000 rpm. With the ignition off you can also test from wire to wire for a broken or shorted ambit.

If your alternator voltage is correct and your battery is good, then by elimination you have a bad regulator/rectifier. Skilled luck in your fight against the prince of darkness!

Is there a such thing as a lowering kit for a 2002 kawasaki vulcan 750, or is there another way to lower it?
A:(from jkc6229)
www.progressivesuspension.com

Front end lowering kit: part # 10-1553
assess - $102.95

Rear shocks: 412 Series 11" shocks
toll - $269.95

shop around on other sites that offer cruiser accessories and they might offer the items cheaper than outspoken from manufacturer.

You can also try cutting down your existing seat foam or get a new low profile derriere from someplace like Mustang or Corbin that will put your feet closer to the footing.
