Is a Moto Guzzi Nevada Classic 750 a good bike?
I have pore over a lot of bad reviews about older models of these bikes having engine problems, but what about the new ones with fuel injection? And do those quite small engines do a good job of pushing them at cruising speeds (55 or 60)? It is an overwhelming looking bike, but don't know anyone who has one, and there are no dealers near my home. I have an aversion to to drive all the way to the dealer without finding out from someone who knows. Are they worth it?

The folks on the record have it right- for availability of service you can't beat the Harley. Their relationships network, to say nothing of independent repair shops, is amazing. That being said, if you scarcity something different, there's the price to pay. I ride a Ducati in my rural part of the fraternity, which is most certainly "Harley Country." Guzzis are dedicated bikes. Go with your gut and the one that you not only want to ride, but feels like part of you.

Moto Guzzi Nevada Classic or Ducati Monster 620 as first bike?
I'm thinking about picking up a bike, but have no experience riding yet. I'll take the rider safe keeping course first, of course. The two bikes I'm torn over are the Monster 620 and the Nevada Model. I'm 30, 5'11", 150lbs. Which of these two bikes would be the wiser determination and why?
Thx~

I be sure the cops in Riverside Ca. used Moto Guzzi for years, and I was a mechanic for them, I think they are trusty, IF you maintain them properly, my problem with them is the parts, expensive, not in stock, very few shops, and even if you have a Harley a half a century old, they still indicate parts for it. Moto Guzzi doesn't. Even Jap bikes, try getting parts for a 1970 Kawasaki.

The Guzzis have relate to on leaps and bounds the last few years and the reliability issues they used to have are all but gone.
Besides. those issues were as much aimed at the bikes gifts to cope with weather as much as anything else and not simply the engines.
The Nevada now has a fuel injected appliance and if you take the time to read a few bike magazine reviews you'll see it gets a unblemished write up.
Perhaps a little underpowered for the weight but to be fair most cruisers are....you don't penury bags of top end for cruising.
