I'm thinking of getting a Ridley cyclecross bike but heard that the sizes are larger than normal?
A:(from sfr1224)
I don't positive much about Ridley in particular, but in general cyclocross bikes run a bit big because their frame geometry is a bit strange from a regular road bike. Typically, the bottom bracket is higher than a approach bike to give a bit more clearance and this changes the rest of bicycle's geometry. The pronounce ban of thumb, therefore, is to buy a bit smaller.

Ridley publishes frame geometry on their website.

Insofar as you can't check one out, I suggest you compare standover heights and top tube lengths to a bike you amity and order accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Where in Oxford is the cross that marks the spot where the three martyrs, Arbishop Latimer, and bishos Latimer
A:(from Sybaris)
Charged with heresy, Latimer and Ridley were burnt in October 1555; Cranmer met the same expiry in March 1556. A cross in the road near Balliol College marks the spot where they died. (Scorch marks can still be seen on the doors.)

A Martyrs' Cenotaph was errected nearby on St Giles in 1843 nearly 300 years after the events.

All three were executed across from the energy entrance of Balliol College on Broad Street (formerly Horsemonger Avenue.)

"...when the first [branch] was lit at Ridley's feet, Latimer encouraged him: "Be of good hurray, Ridley; and play the man. We shall this day, by God's grace, light up such a candle in England, as I pin one's faith, will never be put out.""
