Looking to buy a really nice cyclocross bicycle...? |

Well, I can give you some ideas if you desire a REALLY nice cyclocross bike... Production cyclocross bikes are OK for putzing around and district events. The brands you mention fit into that category. However, a true cx machine starts with a accurate cx frame. Alan, Yamaguchi, and Serotta all make premium NZ hack cx frames that I have raced on. Sibex also makes a hell of a titanium contrive but my preference is really steel (although Alan is bonded aluminum). http://cyclocrossworld.com also is a OK champion source for frames and bikes outfitted to your liking. If I still raced cx I'd possibly spring for a Yamaguchi or Sibex frame with a SRAM Rival CX enlarge kit from cyclocrossworld... then all you need is pedals. | |
