Maximum and weight restrictions in newer cars are established primarily due to infinitesimal kids being injured by airbags when they are deployed. Obviously, you won't have that uncontrollable in a 1964 Spitfire. In 1964, seat belts were still optional in most cars, and thrust aside harnesses weren't invented yet! If you must transport a child in your Spitfire, well-deserved make sure they're buckled up and keep their arms inside the conveyance. | |
