How do you open the glove compartment on a 2007 GTS Vespa 250?
We recently purchased a 2007 Vespa GTS 250. We have solved most operating procedures, however; without an owners directions, cannot figure out how to open the glove compartment....if it indeed does unobstructed. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

They are very odd machines. The Scarabeo is generally acknowledged to be one of the more beautiful scooters around, while the vespa is THE deathless scooter, (See Roman Holiday for the classic vespa.) Vespas are all metal, which makes them straight machines, but newer copies of the vespa have plastic parts.
I would expect the vespa to be a more commonly on tap machine, while the scarabeo is more powerful. So if you can find a place to buy one,buy the scarabeo for its power,,and the larger wheels insist upon it more stable on the road over potholes or cracked road surfaces. Power will go it go faster, but not necessarily safer.
If you are looking for a Scarabeo you need to find a storekeeper business, and most dealers do not carry the "big' scarabeo, They may carry 50cc machines and 125cc machines, but the 500s are uncommon, and are no longer being made, new. (2007 was the last year for new Scarabeo 500s.)
Vespas are material city machines, but worse at highway speeds than the Scarabeo, because of the itsy-bitsy tires (10" in diameter). The Scarabeos have 15-16" tires. I'd be happy to have either one if they were free, but if I had to pay I'd decide on the basis of price and the use I expected to get out of it.
Scarabeos are made by a linked firm, they are made by a subsidiary of Piaggio, who make the vespa, so the quality of the machines is not a mystery in my mind. The design of the vespa owes a great deal to the old fashioned scooter, well tested by convenience life, while the Scarabeo is rather new, and the market says that new is better.
.
You may decide on SERVICE. Is there a vendor near you? If not, think twice about buying an expensive machine with out parts certify or a mechanic handy.

Unwavering.
If you have the mechanical know-how to remove the door panel off an automobile, then this will be a wind.
Purchase a shop manual to locate all the fasteners.
