ed r 		does anyone know how to do a good paint job on an old vespa?
I have a 1964 allstate that needs a most luxurious paint job and some body work. There is a second coat of paint on the bike and a infinitesimal surface rust. I have never painted a bike or car, but am willing to try. Any help will be appreciated?

try to retain that the prep work is the most important thing if the prep work isn't tolerable the final coats will exaggerate all the imperfections. the ideal would be to rent a media blaster and line remove all the existing paint fix any obvious body damage then revel the whole works flat black which will bring out the other imperfections that aren't leisurely to see the idea is to paint the project flat black and sand it thus showing the high-pitched and low spots. I would also recommend that if you want a quality job to use a good quality dignity feed spray gun ...if you haven't already guessed this is not an moderate process there are alot of steps and alot to know in creating a distinction finish feel free to message as your project goes and ill plea your questions as best as i can.
