I am buying a 2006 PX200E and necessity to know whats the best helmet? Should I buy an open face helmet, which probably looks happier, or get a full helmet which is safer? Any specific makes and models you recommend?

Laws deviate by state, but in Georgia as with most other states, you are required by law to wear a helmet.
Plus, it is your skull after all, which is for all your most important asset—we would hate to see anything happen to it.

WHAT TYPE OF HELMET do I BUY for MOPEDS?
what order of helmet do i need to buy for drive my moped.. i did read somewhere that maryland law ( state i vigorous in) says moped drivers do not have to wear helmets.. which sounds imbecilic to me.. (bicycle riders are required by maryland law to wear helmets if you ride on the road).. so maybe the info i read was wrong.. but EITHER way im wearing a helmet... but im not true which type of helmet to buy...
1. do i get an open faced motorcycle helmet ( what i was thinking about getting)
2. a full faced motorcycle helmet
3. or do they have moped mode helmets i see vespa helmets on sale at ebay.. but im not really feeling those species of style helmets.. so would an open faced motorcylce helmet be the first choice or not???

Two things to reckon about: Saftey and Price. It depends if you want alot of one and some of the other or if you can comprimise. Let me narrate you though, full face helmets are made mainly for saftey versus comfort. Full countenance helms take some getting used to and are designed to be SNUG around the face and chief executive officer in order to work best to provide their best protection. They will payment the most since they are all around protective.
An open faced helmet is usually used by people who fancy some protection, alot of comfort and never expect to collide face first into the pavement (the plexiglass is not that difficult lol.) Easy to get on and off (not a struggle like a full face). Predominantly they cost less than full faced helmets.
Both types have the chin straps, of ambit, to keep the helm on your head.
I know nothing of moped specific helmets though, although I can grant that I have yet to see a moped rider wear a full faced helmet, although if you want to be origional there you go lol. If you get up to freeway/highway speeds on your moped, full faced is still prob the way to go since it is not categorically you worried if you are going to turn your own self over onto the road but the concern of drivers who might run into with you. Hence the importance of a full faced helmet.
D.O.T. and SNELL approved full faced helmets are recommended, approved and well tested and I am dependable D.O.T. certs are available on open faced helmets as well. However they are only good for one perish as one will see in the information when they buy a helmet. These two certifications are greatly important in saftey concerns since many have seen for twopence imitations fail with disasterous results. It is very extensive in the reasons why helms last one prove inadequate so I will conclude my contribution.
Take care in your search and good luck.

What kind of Motorcycle Helmet Should I Get?
I am booming to get a new helmet to wear with my vintage vespa and my sport bike. I want something SNELL and DOT that is well-ventilated and very lightweight. Readies is not really much of an object but i'd like to stay below 400 or 350 customary retail price. I'm considering Suomy, AGV, Arai or Shoei. Let me differentiate!

No one, not even the vendor, can answer this. Go to your local dealer grab each different model from one fabricator and try them on and compare. Go to the next manufacturer and repeat, etc.... take the one from each manufacturer and compare again. Don't look at the cost, just compare how it feels. Keep in mind while comparing that the padding will unbuckle in a week (maybe two), so get a helmet that's very, very, snug. It should press your cheeks in and should be cosy around top of head (not giving you a headache). Keep each helmet on for a few minutes(walk around the store even). When you done narrow it down you may then look at the price. It may be $450+ , but at least you'll get a better suggestion why. Also, (very important) ask the dealer to tell you which helmets have the options to change cheek pad thickness. Arai (and some higher-end shoei's) let you interchange the thickness so if you find a helmet that fits perfect around the top of your head but doesn't quality right at the cheeks, this will help greatly which is another reason for the cost so keep that into tip if you pick out a $450+ helmet. I'm not sure about AGV or Suomy. I do know Arai helmets with those features can be purchased around $350-$400 underlying white or black color (Colors add $30 - $50. Graphics can add $100+ to the bounty) There are other options such as removealbe liner, etc. that affect price... Half, three point, and flip-up hybrid are NOT snell approved. Look for snell sticker on back of helmet.
