David B 		is the Victory Vegas 8 Ball a good first bike?
I'm planning to buy my first motorcycle, and the Vegas 8 Ball caught my eye. I uncommonly like the old school-ish looks and the monotone black paint job. My pump for you all is, is it a good first bike? and if not, what would you suggest that might have a similar look to it? thanks in betterment to any responses.

I in a victory vegas jackpot and I love the bike. It does seem a little expensive for a first hector unless, for some reason you know for sure your going to be riding for years to blow in. If your not so sure then I would suggest a suzuki boulevard. You really can't fashion the value of the jap bikes. they're very reliable and they've come a covet way in styling.

schurm1961 		How do I lower the idle speed of my 2005 Victory Vegas?
The mechanic at the bike seek increased the idle speed a little bit to help me "get out of the blocks", but I don't like how it runs or sounds now. It appeared he justifiable used a long thin screwdriver and it took him about 5 seconds, but I don't see the correcting screw anywhere. There is nothing in the manual about it either.

what you requisite is a long phillips head screw driver, the adjustment screw-bolt is on the left side of the bike under the gas tank. you mayneed to pull off the triangle looking crome bed linen ( just pull on it, hand on each side with equal force, it will pull off trusteeship me) if you don't want to pull that off look just above it and you will see the trhotle boddies. the fleece a raise is on the right side of the boddies. If you have a tach on the bike you can go by that. The idle needs to be about 850 to 920 RPM's

I have wore out 2 tires in 7430 miles and on the way to the look for, it started swaying in the turns very badly. It felt like it was vexing to slide out from under me in the rear. And on checking the swing arm you could see where it had made contact with the mufflers.

Sounds like the swingarm bushing are jigger.I wouldn't ride it anymore til you check it out.If you can ,raise the raise wheel off the ground and see if you can move the wheel from side to side.It shouldn't flex at all.That could call a crash very easily.
