I am interested in getting a sportbike built up from the frame,my last bike was a Yamaha so I'm tiring to stick with that brand, but I also have interest with Suzuki GSXR 1000 or 750 models, I am looking for any info on where to find a suitable price on Yamaha R1 motorcyle frame new or used 2002,2003,or 2004 models

Sounds like an exspensive way to get an R1! If you just now need a frame, there are tons of salvage yards with tons of used parts. There is also Ebay. Good Chances!

PS. My 2002 Marlborough Edition R1 is perfect. I love it. Stick with the Yamaha!

I found someone that wants to retail a 2000 or 2001 Yamaha R1 for really cheap. It doesn't run, but it looks like a accurate fixer-uper. He claims he has lost the title for it and I just would like to be sure where I can find the Vin numbers, so I can search them myself to make sure it is not stolen. I know there are two vins on a bike, but where are they located? On the frame somewhere, and on the machine somewhere is all I know. Can anyone help me?
